Dominic Keogh is a multidisciplinary stonemason and conservation worker.
He specialises in traditional stonemasonry, letter cutting, monumental masonry, traditional lime mortars, craft training and the conservation and restoration of vernacular structures.

A passion and unquenchable curiosity to understand the landscape and history of his home in Kilmovee, County Mayo, first drew Dominic to the network of dry stone walls and traditional stone buildings that crisscross the area, and the stories and skills associated with their construction.
With guidance from the older people in the area and determination, Dominic began learning the skills involved in Dry stone walling, starting on a path of discovery that he still walks over twenty years later. In that time, Dominic has travelled the length and breath of Ireland to seek out and learn from other skilled craftspeople, expanding his own skill set to include architectural conservation, traditional stone cutting, monumental masonry, and letter cutting, and has worked on a wide variety of projects both at home and abroad.
Dominic’s passion for researching vernacular Irish architecture, folk history and culture is a driving force behind his work, and he constantly strives to combine traditional skills and methods with the best of modern practice and standards to achieve sensitive and skillful results.
Alongside the construction and carving aspects of his work, Dominic is an experienced craft trainer who uses his wealth of knowledge to inspire other people to begin their own journey into working with stone. Dominic’s dedication to promoting his craft, and passing on knowledge is a vital part of his work.
